Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II told Mozart that one of his operas had "Too many notes."

By the way, it was the wild turkey that Franklin thought should be the national bird. In the
wild, the turkey is a more interesting bird. Franklin was definitely not referring to the
grotesque overstuffed poultry that usually passes for a turkey on Thanksgiving now, nor to the
brand of bourbon :-).

On Dostoevsky and Tolstoy question : False. You got it britgrl.

However there is a story told by Dostoevsky's wife Anna; that she said that both of them were invited to a reunion (or party for our convenience) , and Dostoevsky heard rumors that Tolstoy was present at the moment on the same gathering. So this was a great opportunity for Dostoevsky to meet Tolstoy; but he made the decision in not to meeting Tolstoy; and both Fyodor and Anna left the reunion.

What a pity!
